FAQ
- Square crop vs circle?
- Circle crop = circular mask + transparent outside the circle. Square = rectangular keep. Circle suits avatars and logos; square suits hero images / screenshots.
- Why does the output look like a square?
- PNG files are always rectangular; circular content has transparent corners. Some viewers show transparency as white — open in an image viewer that respects alpha (Photoshop, Figma, modern browsers).
- Do social platforms require circular avatars?
- Most platforms (WeChat, QQ, Weibo) display avatars cropped to a circle automatically. Uploading a square works fine; uploading a circular PNG ensures clean edges without depending on the platform's crop.
- Circle with a border?
- Yes — add a stroke / border with adjustable color and thickness for stylized avatars.
- Oval / rounded-rectangle?
- This tool is circles only. For rounded-rectangle styling, use the border tool with corner radius.
