Resize Image

Free online batch image resizer: set exact pixel dimensions, scale by percentage, or constrain the long edge. Keep aspect ratio or stretch freely — unlimited files, in-browser.

How to use

Purpose

Resize images by pixels, percentage, or maximum edge — batch-process many photos at once, all in your browser, never uploaded. Powered by Pica's high-quality sampling algorithm (Lanczos-like), downscaling preserves sharpness and upscaling avoids the jagged look of nearest-neighbor. Ideal for matching e-commerce product sizes (800×800, 1200×1200), social media covers, email attachments, or batch-prepping a photo library to a max width like 1920px.

Steps

  1. Drop or select the images to resize (single or batch)
  2. Pick the mode: exact pixels (width × height), percentage scale, or max-edge constraint
  3. Toggle 'preserve aspect ratio' to prevent distortion (recommended on)
  4. Choose output format and quality (JPEG / PNG / WebP)
  5. Hit Resize — Pica's high-quality resampling runs in parallel
  6. Download individual files or a ZIP

FAQ

Will resizing blur my images?
Downscaling stays sharp thanks to Pica's Lanczos-like sampling. Upscaling beyond ~150% softens because the original lacks the missing pixel data — no resampler can invent detail. For true AI-style upscaling, you'd need a model like Real-ESRGAN (not yet provided).
Can I resize dozens of photos at once?
Yes — batch resizing is core to ImgBox. Drop a folder's worth, pick one target size, and download a ZIP.
Does resizing change file size?
Generally yes — smaller dimensions mean fewer pixels and a smaller file. To shrink further, follow up with our image-compressor.
Can I upscale to 4K / 8K?
You can set any target size, but interpolation can't add real detail. Heavily upscaled images look soft. For genuine super-resolution, an AI model is required.
Can I change width and height independently?
Yes, unlock aspect ratio. Note this distorts the image (stretches or squishes). To change shape without distortion, use the crop tool instead.

Use cases

  • Instagram square posts (1080×1080) or stories (1080×1920)
  • Shopify product photos at 2048×2048 with a max upload size
  • Email signatures at exact 200×50 pixel banners
  • Blog hero images standardized to 1920×1080
  • Batch-shrinking a photo backup to max 1920px wide

Use cases

Instagram 1080×1080, Shopify 2048×2048, blog hero 1920×1080, email banner 200×50 — exact-pixel batch resizing with Lanczos quality. Combine with the compressor for max savings.
