How to use

Purpose

Convert between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC, and TIFF entirely in your browser. Turn iPhone HEIC photos into universally-readable JPG, drop PNG to JPG to shrink storage, switch a whole folder to modern WebP for the web, or pull old TIFFs into PNG for editors that don't support them. Everything runs locally via WebAssembly — no uploads, no API quotas, no tracking, suitable for confidential product shots, medical scans, or anything you'd rather not send to a third-party service.

FAQ

Will PNG-to-JPG lose my transparency?
Yes — JPEG has no alpha channel, so transparent pixels are replaced with a white background (configurable). If you need transparency, convert to WebP or AVIF instead — both support alpha and lossy compression.
Can it convert Apple HEIC?
Yes. HEIC / HEIF decode locally — useful when you need iPhone photos to open on Windows, Android, or older software. We also have a dedicated HEIC-to-JPG tool.
Why did the converted file get bigger?
Converting a lossy source (e.g. JPEG quality 50) to a lossless format (PNG) always grows the file because PNG preserves every pixel. Stick with same-tier formats (lossy → lossy) for similar size.
Can I batch convert?
Yes. Drop dozens of files, pick a single target format, click Convert, and download everything as a ZIP.
What happens to EXIF metadata?
By default we strip EXIF on conversion — a privacy win for shared photos. If you need EXIF preserved, use our dedicated EXIF tool to manage it explicitly.
