FAQ
- Will splitting lose quality?
- PNG output is fully lossless. JPG adds minor compression.
- How large a GIF can it process?
- Tested with 500-frame, 50MB GIFs. Very large GIFs may cause browser memory pressure — split in batches if necessary.
- Are per-frame delays preserved?
- The tool displays each frame's delay (in 1/100s, GIF standard). When recombining with the gif-make tool, you can preserve these timings.
- Can I extract just one character / object?
- Each frame is a complete image. To isolate an object from a frame, combine with the background-removal tool.
- Good for sticker remixing?
- Yes — split a GIF → edit select frames (add text / effects) → reassemble with gif-make → remix sticker.
